The Polls and Pundits.

The Pundits are Out and the Polls have Started.

The pundits have come out of the woodwork and the Associated Press has released its 2008 pre-season poll. The Mountaineers have been ranked as Number 8 in the nation.

The pundits are pundits and the polls are polls. How is that for some damn insight.

Visit Mike Casazza's Mountaineer Sports Blog [New Window. External Link.]. Chime in with the rest of the fanatics. It is one of the sanest blogs on the Web and Casazza always provides good insight, perspective and in-depth analysis on WVU athletics.

The participants in the blog are pretty damn intelligent, too. How to hell did that happen with a bunch of hillbillies.

About the Content.

If you are like I am, it is always tough to remember broadcast schedules and availability of broadcasts for Mountaineer football. It is tough as hell, also, to find programming access for non-televised games when you live or are away from local West Virginia radio.

This broadcast schedule resolves that confusion. Game times, opponents, broadcast schedules and links to those broadcasts are presented. All that is needed is an Internet connection and Mountaineer football is there on game day.

This, as in most seasons, will be an exciting season. Hopefully, visitors will find this broadcast schedule to be as useful as I do. Keep in mind, that football is just a game and shouldn't supersede other important things, such as ballet practice.

Best of luck to the squad of the West Virginia University Mountaineers. Win or lose, those kids will have won simply by taking to the field of play with honor, duty and for the fun of the game.

Purpose of the Content.

Some of the purpose has been previously stated. The broadcast schedule is here to provide a single updated source for broadcast availability for Mountaineer football.

It is, also, presented within a format that can be accessed, utilized and interpreted by anyone regardless of disability or type of equipment they use to access this content page.

Please note that game times and ESPN/ABC broadcasts are subject to change during the season. When such change occurs, it will be reflected within the broadcast schedule as soon as possible.

Accessibility of the Content.

This content page presents the 2008 Mountaineer Football Broadcast Schedule in a format that uses lists rather than tables. Some older technologies cannot render tables efficiently. This page is for such circumstances.

This document will meet the Priority 3 Triple A classification [New Window.External Link.] of the W3C WCAG 1.0. The content page is still being developed. Text size increases do not increase smoothly, yet.
